Sterling Ranch is proud to be underway with the design and development of its first, on-site community recreation center slated to open in time for the Summer of 2019.
Located within Providence Village, this first recreation center will feature a large pool with a patio deck, a community exercise facility, and high-end locker room facilities. Additionally, a second floor “Great Hall,” with an adjoining kitchen facility, will be provided for the benefit of community events and gatherings. The outdoor areas around the recreation center will also provide flexible use space and facilities for outdoor play and gathering, and will become a thriving community meeting points fit for a multitude of uses.
The latest gathering of the Sterling Ranch Pioneers, our first 100 home owners, was held at the Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms. The afternoon featured a presentation on the collaboration between Sterling Ranch and the Denver Botanic Gardens to determine sustainable landscape plans for communal areas in the community, and tips for our residents on environmentally conscious and water-wise plantings for their own home landscaping. After lunch, the Pioneers were treated to guided tours of Chatfield Farms.

Other area projects commuters should be aware of:
- Online Tool to Navigate Traffic in Douglas County: You can access NearMeDC, a free online tool to help you navigate cone zone traffic congestion throughout Douglas County. The tool allows you to identify one or more areas within the county through which you travel, subscribe to and then receive a Cone Zone notification specific to the areas you’ve chosen. When a cone zone occurs in your area of interest, a notification – via email or text – is delivered. Douglas County developed the online tool to help those who travel within the county become aware of, plan for and navigate around county cone zones – before they begin their journey to work, school or play. The county also announced its two-way data-sharing partnership with Waze, the free, real-time navigation app.
