Staying together while being apart
Our Lifestyle Director, Kate Kunzie, has planned a series of things that we can do together as a neighborhood while staying home and practicing social distancing. We are blessed to have her reminding us that FUN IS NOT CANCELED. Here’s how we’ve adapted to social distancing requirements and a sneak peek at what’s coming.
Sterling Ranch Strong
We’ve been figuring out how to support each other through this challenging time while sharing best practices when it comes to mental health, fitness at home, entertaining the kids, and more. Here’s what we’ve been up to. Whether you live at Sterling Ranch or not, these ideas may serve as inspiration for you.
Virtual 10 Day Challenge
Between March 18th and 27th, our residents utilized social media to share their photos and videos on a variety of topics. From favorite pets and work from home practices, to pranking their kids on April Fools Day, they’ve posted pictures in our Facebook group, had a few laughs, and most importantly . . . connected together.
30 Day Fitness Challenge
Sterling Ranch neighbors are sweating together! Our 30 Day Fitness Challenge is happening now through April 19th. Residents are encouraged to complete a daily workout at home as well as get outside for continuous movement like walking, jogging, or biking on our many neighborhood trails. Participants who do this daily will win some cool Sterling Ranch swag.

Front Porch Happy Hour
On Friday, March 27th our residents opened their doors, sat on their porches, and raised a glass with their neighbors from afar. We’ll be doing it again this Friday, April 3rd and next Friday, April 10th, so make sure to get outside if you want to be part of the fun.
Driveway Chalk Art
The Sterling Ranch Driveway Chalk Art is happening now through April 3rd. Our residents have been artfully decorating their driveways and sidewalks with pictures and encouraging messages. A neighborhood stroll has never been so uplifting.
More Sterling Ranch fun is coming up in April
As we continue to stay at home for work and school, here’s what’s coming up in April to help us PLAY!
Netflix Parties: April 2nd, 9th, and 16th
How about a virtual movie night? Netflixparty.com allows people to sync their Netflix accounts and watch a movie while commenting and laughing together. Our residents are excited to do this — its technological innovation at its best and with our one-gig+ Internet service, no one will be left behind!

Food Truck Visits
Sterling Ranch still gets regular visits from a variety of food trucks serving up delicious fare. Take a break from cooking for a night and support a local business by treating yourself to a delicious meal or two.
Virtual Storytime: Mondays and Wednesdays at 10am
Get yourself and your kiddos comfortable and hop into the Sterling Ranch Facebook resident group every Monday and Wednesday morning for a lovely children’s book reading. This can be part of a new home school routine, or simply a way to get inspired and have a good day.
Tik Tok Challenge: April 4th
You are going to want to be part of this. Sterling Ranch families are gearing up to dance to MC Hammer’s “You Can’t Touch This” and share it with the world. The Tik Tok app allows people to create a music video, and that is what we are about to do — crazy dance moves and all. All participants will be entered into a drawing to win some fun prizes.
Front Door Decorating Contest: April 6th – 10th
This is another fun thing you can do with the whole family. Decorate your front door to the theme of “Spring”. Take a photo and be entered into a contest to win a gift card to one of your favorite restaurants — something you can surely enjoy in a few short weeks. We are excited to take a stroll through the neighborhood and see everyone’s designs!
Community Safari Hunt: April 9th
Want something to do with the kids? Hunt for animals! On April 9th, our residents are encouraged to place a stuffed animal somewhere outside their home or in the window sill so people can walk by and see it. The kids will walk the neighborhood and snap photos of what they find.
Eggstravaganza Basket Drop Off: April 11th
Baskets filled with eggs and other goodies will be dropped off at our residents’ door steps. So, everyone who signed up for our annual Easter event can still have some family fun.

Sterling Ranch Community Rock Painting: April 11th – 17th
Our residents will be decorating rocks and placing them around the community for all to enjoy. We’ll then walk around our neighborhood parks and trails to discover as many of these as we can. We can’t wait to be inspired by all the creations.
Through this trying time, FUN is not canceled at Sterling Ranch! Our community is coming together in many ways to support each other and stay connected. Our award winning home builders are still at it — building quality smart homes that compliment a variety of lifestyles. Check out our quick move-ins or contact us with questions — we are here to support you in becoming part of this special community.
