    REQUEST INFO

At a time when normal life and gatherings seem to be on hold, many of us are missing the camaraderie of coworkers, schoolmates, friends and family. Because of this, we are grateful for the many safe and fun opportunities we’ve had to come together as a community at Sterling Ranch. It sure has been busy around here with activities galore!

A Recap of Socially-Distanced Events at Sterling Ranch

The Sterling Ranch Lifestyle Director, Kate Kunzie, planned scores of fun virtual and (socially distant) in-person events for the neighborhood this season. Here’s a look at some of the things we’ve done together as a community in the last few months:

Teen’s night out at K1 Speedway

Resident teens got together at K1 Speedway for a night of fun prior to starting their school year. Between go-kart racing and delicious pizza, fun was had by all.

    Landscaping class

Living in a state that sees four seasons, it’s important to be prepared for all types of weather, especially as a Colorado homeowner. Sterling Ranch residents gathered virtually with our Architectural and Community Standards director to discuss the best ways to keep their back- and front yards thriving as the cold temperatures roll in.

    Back-to-school ice cream party

On the first day of school, Lucky Mary’s Baking and Sweets Company visited the Sterling Center and offered ice cream to an excited back-to-school crowd. The first 100 students got their ice cream for free and all the kids clamored for more while enjoying the creamy deliciousness.

    Puppy plunge

Our favorite four-legged friends got to splash in the neighborhood’s brand-new pool at the Overlook Clubhouse before it closed for the season. Sterling Ranch is home to some impressive swimmers!

    Chatfield bird walk

Friends and neighbors joined at Chatfield Reservoir for an educational two-hour guided bird walk during which they got to explore and learn about the many Colorado bird species. What a relaxing, grounding experience!

    Fall festival

This lively gathering took place right outside the neighborhood hub — the Sterling Center — and included hay rides, a pumpkin patch, live music, a contactless photo booth, festival games and free apple cider for kids.

    DIY crafting classes

Sterling Ranch residents got creative by crafting double-sided porch signs in August. A few weeks later, just as the cold weather set in, they also made their own cozy chunky knit blankets. Loaded Lumber, a local creative studio, hosted both events at the Sterling Center. Thanks, Loaded Lumber!

    Active Minds

In September, the Active Minds series offered educational thrills virtually through lectures like “Space Exploration.” We look forward to more of these monthly events!

    Adopt-a-road cleanup

Sterling Ranch adopted a piece of Titan Road — the main thoroughfare leading into the community. This fall, residents proudly donned orange vests and contributed to our community by bonding with each other and collecting trash in the area.

    Walk to End Alzheimer’s disease

A number of Sterling Ranch residents joined fellow neighbor Dani Young in a fight to end Alzheimer’s disease. They formed a virtual team — The Sterling Ranchers — and wore purple while walking neighborhood trails. Though this annual event looked different this year, participants enjoyed the same feelings of satisfaction and connectedness in raising funds and awareness for a great cause.

    Virtual murder mystery party

This fun clue-solving event took place in a safe, virtual fashion and was a great way for neighbors and friends to laugh and investigate together.

    Colorado ballot issues webinar

This informational webinar discussed the many propositions on the Colorado ballot this year. Many people joined to learn more about the proposed changes on which they would be voting.

    What-a-hoot owl education class

Whooo knew owls were so fascinating? This informational event — held at Sterling Ranch’s brand-new recreation center, the Overlook Clubhouse — featured a live owl and was an engaging learning experience for all ages.

Holiday turkey and prime rib master class

Just in time for the holidays, many joined the Seasoned Swine food truck curbside at the Sterling Center for a fun cooking experience. After getting a number of helpful tips, the attendees delighted in a flavorful cherry-smoked prime rib and turkey dinner.

More fun ahead at Sterling Ranch

As the holidays quickly approach, there will be plenty more opportunities for residents to come together in a safe way. Family Holiday Photos, the Thanksgiving Floral Arranging Class and a Wreath Making Class are just some of the fun things already planned for upcoming weeks. Eager to join the fun? We invite you to visit us, explore the neighborhood, attend one of our community events and find a Sterling Ranch home of your own!
