Around here, you and the kids can ditch the car to walk, jog, bike, scooter, or skate with total peace of mind. We designed our streets to meander and slow down traffic, which protects humans and wildlife. To further protect walking residents, we’ve segregated bike lanes and created sidewalks that are set back from the curb.
Intelligent streetlights that protect
You’ll never have to fret while walking by yourself here, even in the dark. From dusk till dawn, our intelligent streetlights illuminate the way. So, feel free to go on that early morning run, or stay out and have a beer at Grist Brewing at the Sterling Center with your neighborhood friends. You can rest easy knowing that your walk home will be well lit.
Mass community notification system
A mass community notification system integrated with our intelligent streetlights is in the works. Soon, in the event of an emergency, the streetlights will turn a different color and announcements will be heard via loudspeakers installed in our streetlight poles.

State-of-the-art security for your home
Going on vacation or leaving the kids home alone? Don’t spend any time worrying about what’s going on in your home while you’re away. All Sterling Ranch homes come equipped with a DSC security system that is integrated with STEWARD, your smart-home automation assistant. The standard system can be self-monitored through the STEWARD app on your phone. For additional peace of mind, you can hire a security monitoring company to keep an extra eye on your home or install additional security cameras throughout your residence. The STEWARD app allows you to manage your home security remotely. From anywhere in the world you can activate your alarm, make sure the garage door is closed, and check that all door locks are secured.
